This position will support all Sunday, Wednesday evening, Thursday evening programming and special worship services as needed. The right candidate should have experience in some combination of the following: audio engineering, video production/editing, stage lighting, live-streaming. Job Description: • Operate equipment as needed during worship services, rehearsals, and other programming • Assist with tech support needs and stage setup for events in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Student Worship Center • Respond to AVL problems and other needs as they arise • Assist other departments maintain the working condition of their AVL equipment • Assist the Technical Director in maintaining all AVL equipment and address problems as needed. • Assist in maintaining and organizing in all AVL equipment closets • Provide support and set-up for AVL needs for other ministries • Other Duties as Assigned The preferred schedule will be • Sundays from 7am - as late as 7:30pm depending on the week • Wednesday evenings 4pm - 8pm • Thursday evenings 4pm - 8pm • Fridays and Saturdays as needed (substituting for Wednesdays and/or Thursdays) • There is a need for increased hours during holidays and large production events, especially in the month of December. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Technical Arts in running equipment and managing a team of A/V volunteers. Qualifications: Have a strong knowledge and 3-5 years of experience with either Sound Engineering, Video Production and/or Live Broadcasting. Experience with a lift or working on a catwalk is a plus. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively to support various ministries with needs associated with the church facilities and grounds. Minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills will also be necessary. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours to cover special events if needed. Hours Requirement: 25 hours/week Days Requirement: Primarily Monday through Friday (must be available to work Weekends and Evenings, if needed). Time Preferences: Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 3:00pm (flex start and end times based on demand) Supervised by: Manager of Facilities and Grounds Skills Required: • General mechanical knowledge • Understanding of minor electrical and plumbing (i.e. replacing ballasts, switches and receptacles, plumbing for faucets, drinking fountains, and urinals/water closets, etc.) • Working knowledge of all operations of church facilities • Effective troubleshooter • Strong communication skills • Must be a team player • Must have a friendly/helpful attitude as daily requests are often made by preschool teachers and other staff • Willingness to work under the direction of other leaders • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job Description: • Maintain/Repair Church Property and Grounds: o Repair reported building problems (including electrical, plumbing, etc.) as soon as possible. • Replace/Repair light fixtures and light tubes in interior and exterior of buildings. • Repair and paint damage to walls. • Assist with monitoring stock and inventory of repair supplies (i.e. light tubes, ballasts, retrofit supplies, plumbing supplies, etc.). Assist Sexton Staff: • Communicate with sexton staff as necessary. o Assist with minor cleaning as necessary. • Assist with room set-up when advance notice is not given or sexton staff are not able to accommodate request. • Verify locking and unlocking of all church facilities. • Meet with vendors before and after service work (electricians, HVAC, plumbers, fire protection, copier, security systems, etc.) • Assist Memorial Park, as Needed • Assist Memorial Park staff with preparation for funerals if requested. o Assist with lighting and other facility issues as needed. • Monitor Vehicle Usage and Maintenance • Ensure vehicles are fueled for scheduled events. • Identify service needs for MVBC vehicles. • Transport vehicles to/from service facilities. • Other duties as assigned. Serving at CrossRoads will impact your life for years to come. We are now accepting applications for Support Staff: The function of support staff is to minister indirectly with campers by serving in “behind the scenes” tasks that allow the camp program to run efficiently and effectively. Potential support staff duties include dish pit, trash runs, recreation setup, water station detail, and groundskeeping. Support staff can train and be scheduled to operate adventure elements such as high ropes, pamper pole, giant swing, and mountaineering components. Support staff must be 17 by June 1, 2025. Dover Church Challenge Grant Fairmount Baptist Scholarship Paul Hepler Scholarship Partnership Missions Scholarships Pruett Fund for Church Leadership Scholarship Watson Missions Grant DWMU Hollins Scholarship Partnership Missions Scholarships Guidelines for the Partnership Missions Scholarship The Purpose: Dover Baptist Association awards partnership missions scholarships to advance the cause of Christ through partnership missions efforts and to increase the number of Dover churches and individuals involved in partnership missions trips. By “partnership missions trip,” the association means any volunteer missions effort that a Dover congregation believes will involve its people in furthering the cause of Christ by their physical presence on a mission field beyond Dover and that advances Dover’s purpose of helping reveal Christ by doing missions together. Who makes the decision? The Partnership Missions Council evaluates all scholarship applications. Applying does not guarantee approval. The council will approve scholarships based on available funds and the merits of the request, giving priority to trips that work with Dover’s mission partners. How much does the Association give? Unless otherwise designated, Dover will set aside 70% of partnership missions scholarship funds for mission trips with Dover missions partners and 30% for other mission trips. For mission trips that work with Dover missions partners , the council will award an individual one grant of up to $300 or 20% of the cost of a partnership missions trip, whichever is less, in any calendar year. The council will award any Dover church a grant(s) of up to $750, including individual grants, for partnership missions trips in any calendar year. For other mission trips , the council will award an individual one grant of up to $150 or 20% of the cost of a partnership missions trip, whichever is less, in any calendar year. The council will award any Dover church a grant(s) of up to $500, including individual grants, for partnership missions trips in any calendar year. The council may adjust any and all grants based on availability of funds. How to Apply: Any Dover church or mission may apply. Anyone associated with a Dover church or mission may apply. To apply, the qualifying person or church should send a letter of request indicating: a. The name(s) of the person or church, the nature of the trip (including time, place, and cost) and amount of aid requested. b. The church’s approval of the request in business session (Please attach a statement showing that the church approved the request and the date of the meeting. Have it signed by a church staff member or a church officer such as the clerk or moderator.) c. The amount of the request The request may come before the related partnership missions trip and must reach the Dover Association office not later than 90 days after completing the trip. What does the association expect? Within 90 days of completing the trip, the council requests a written report and photo(s) from the trip to share with the association. The association may also request for a recipient(s) to make a verbal report or presentation appropriate association events. Additional Information: The Partnership Missions Council may consider exceptions to these guidelines as requested.
