Church Ministry Assistant
Hunton Baptist Church is hiring a part-time Church Ministry Assistant to provide administrative and communication support to the Pastor and congregation. This role is vital in supporting the daily ministry and mission of the church.
Responsibilities include:
● General office duties such as maintaining supplies, files, records, and reports.
● Answering phones, emails, and greeting walk-in visitors.
● Communicating with church members, including prayer requests and updates.
● Preparing weekly Sunday bulletins and special-event publications.
● Maintaining the church master calendar and assisting with program coordination.
● Opening and distributing mail and responding to routine inquiries.
● Maintaining an office procedures manual to ensure continuity.
● Handling all matters with strict confidentiality.
Qualifications:
● Strong organizational and communication skills.
● Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
● Proficiency with basic office technology.
● Commitment to confidentiality and the church’s mission.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 9am to 2pm.
