Job Summary
Goshen Baptist Association is seeking a mission-minded leader who loves the local church and wants to help 29 churches pursue greater Kingdom impact together.
The Director of Missions will resource, connect, coach, and encourage churches and their leaders while providing leadership for the Association and helping develop opportunities for mission and ministry.
Key Responsibilities
· Mission Strategy: Help churches identify and pursue opportunities for greater mission impact.
· Minister to Churches: Build relationships with pastors and church leaders and show pastoral concern for their churches and ministries.
· Provide Leadership: Help lead the Association in pursuing its mission and vision.
· Build Connections: Strengthen relationships among churches and connect the Association with opportunities in the community.
Qualifications
· Pastoral leadership experience preferred, along with experience in missions, church planting, and associational life.
· Earned degree from an accredited college and seminary.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· A Christian with a clear calling to mission service who is motivated, flexible, willing to learn and grow, and willing to believe God for what He can do.
· Familiarity with Baptist denominational life and a willingness to work within the Association's shared vision while respecting the geographical and theological differences among its churches.
