Position Summary-
Poplar Springs Baptist Church is seeking a compassionate and organized Children’s Ministry Coordinator to lead and develop our ministries for children from Nursery-5th grade. The coordinator will work closely with church leadership, volunteers, and families to create a Christ-centered environment where children can grow in faith, experience the love of God, and build a solid foundation for lifelong discipleship.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities-
1. Plan and implement age-appropriate programs, activities, and events for children (Nursery–5th grade), including Kids Club, Grow Groups, Upwards Basketball, and special events.
2. Collaborate with the Pastor, Staff, and Leadership Team to recruit, train, and support volunteers in children’s ministries.
3. Provide leadership and oversight to ensure safe and welcoming ministry environments, following all child protection policies and background check requirements.
4. Support the integration of children into the worship, service, and fellowship life of the church.
5. Attend staff meetings and serve as a liaison for children’s ministry on Church Council.
6. Build strong relationships with families and equip them with resources to nurture faith at home.
7. Encourage intergenerational ministry opportunities that connect children with other age groups in the church.

· Familiarity with digital tools and communication platforms
