Location: Ridge Baptist Church – Henrico, VA

Position Type: Part-Time (16 hours per week) Compensation: $17.50–$20.00 per hour


Position Summary: Ridge Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and communication support for the daily operations of the church.


Responsibilities include:

● Serves as the primary point of contact for members, visitors, volunteers, and community guests by providing welcoming, professional assistance in person, by phone, and by email.

● Prepares correspondence, reports, forms, and other church documents.

● Maintains filing systems, administrative reference materials, and church records.

● Provides administrative support for the Lead Pastor, staff, ministry leaders, committees.

● Prepares and distribute materials for worship services, Bible studies, classes, ministry events, volunteer activities, and other church functions.

● Coordinates the church master calendar, facility scheduling, room reservations, and online event registration.

● Website updates and social media management.


Qualifications & Skills:

● Administrative experience in a church or nonprofit setting.

● Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

● Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.


Preferred not required:

● Administrative Experience in a church or nonprofit setting.

● Experience with church management software

● Familiarity with website updates and social media management

● Experience using MediaShout, PowerPoint, or similar presentation software
