New Highland Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, VA, is seeking a part time Children’s Ministry Director. The purpose for this position is to develop and implement effective programs and activities that will minister to families and children in our church and the surrounding community. The programs should be age-appropriate, fun, relevant, and effective in instructing, training, nurturing and launching children into Christian service.
The candidate must have a passion for children, an overwhelming desire to witness the love of Jesus Christ, and must demonstrate biblical character. The ideal candidate will have experience with various age ranges and the ability to relate to and communicate the Word of God to children and their parents. They should have the ability to lead a children’s ministry team and delegate responsibilities to execute programs and activities. A ministry-related bachelor’s degree is not mandatory; however, related experience is required.
Additional duties will require the management of the budget for all children’s programs, assist the Pastor as needed, and participate in the life of the Church.
The salary and hours for this position are negotiable.
